How to Save a Lot of Money in One Month Without a Job (for Teens)

Need a quick and plump amount of money fast without a job? Read on, for vital tips on how to get there. Let's go!

Steps

  1. When you get money, divide it in half. Put 50% in a savings account/savings box, and keep the rest for yourself! Of the 50% you keep for yourself, it is a good idea to divide that in half two. One half is for random spending like when you go out with a friend and the other half is for saving up for a bigger purchase than something that only costs around 10 bucks.
  2. Start off with asking your parents if there is any work to be done around the house. Let's say the kitchen needs to be cleaned, then charge $5 for it to be cleaned; or even more depending on the mess. Do this for each room, and you will be earning your money fast!
  3. Babysit. This is most common with girls. Good prices are about $15 an hour.
  4. Rake leaves, mow the lawn, and plow the snow for $10 each or whatever your parents condsider reasonable.
  5. Ask neighbors if you can rake leaves, mow the lawn, trim hedges, plow snow, pick up twigs in the yard, clean the gutters, or any other chore for a price that they think is reasonable.
  6. Hold a bakesale. Bake a bunch of cookies, brownies, and other things and sell them.
